Seniors in Redondo Beach looking for exciting things to do during the Christmas season will be pleased to learn there are some great holiday events that won’t disappoint. The Redondo Beach senior care experts at Home Care Assistance have put together a list of the top 4 local holiday events your elderly loved one should check out this year.

1. The Nutcracker

On December 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center at 1935 Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be hosting The Nutcracker, performed by the Los Angeles Ballet. This is the ideal holiday event for seniors and their families to celebrate the Christmas season and create cherished memories they can hold in their hearts all year long. This event also features a special appearance by Santa and other characters.

2. A Christmas Journey

The Performing Arts Center will also be hosting this free holiday concert on December 17th, 18th, and 19th. Journey of Faith produces this magical 90-minute musical that may reawaken your loved one and bring back fond holiday memories from his or her past while creating new ones. There is seating available for seniors with physical challenges.

3. Adventure to Santa

The South Bay Galleria at 1815 Hawthorne Boulevard will be hosting this family-friendly holiday adventure through December 24th. This activity cleverly combines the tradition of meeting Santa with technological magic to deliver a unique and captivating experience for seniors and their families. Joining the family for a cinematic journey and interactive games can make your loved one feel wanted and loved, and he or she will always cherish being included in making holiday memories.

4. Los Angeles Kings Holiday Ice

This company will be opening 5 rinks during the holiday season, including one in Redondo Beach at 239 North Harbor Drive, which will remain open through January 7th. Active seniors can get some exercise while skating with their community at this holiday rink, which has been exquisitely decorated with magical decor and a grand Christmas tree. The fee for skating is $20, and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Redondo Beach Police Foundation.
